Route 1 Recruitment & Training Ltd Announcement

Since the start of 2023 Route 1 has seen a period of huge change and transformation driven by the desire to strategically grow and develop as a business. Growth is crucial to our long-term survival, and we believe that this will help to attract new talent and fund future investments. It will also critically drive our business performance and profit levels to match.

Amongst several other projects we have focused a lot of our energies into looking at how we operate as a recruitment business and compliance within our own organisation. This included changing our outsourced payroll platform to a new PAYE Route 1 internal payroll system (Sage Payroll Process) We also updated and revised all of our Company policies and contract documents to ensure that we remain fully compliant and that these are fit for purpose as we continue on our quest for business growth.

Key to these changes has been the introduction of Sue Bruce who joined Route 1 at the end of 2022 and who and has helped to transform our business. Sue’s knowledge and many years of experience within the recruitment and business sectors has been a tremendous asset to Route 1, allowing us to learn and bring the business up to date, safeguarding it for the future within an ever-changing industry sector.

Sue explains some of her reasons for joining Route 1 – “I joined Route 1 at the end of 2022 having worked for another organisation for nearly 10 years. I have been involved in the recruitment sector for nearly 30 years and have been fortunate enough to work for some great businesses in this time. My initial focus for Route 1 has been to look at 6 main operational areas - Business Goals / Core Values / Mission and Vision / Short & Long Term Strategies / Business Objectives and Operational Management.

I have been hugely encouraged by the Business’s desire to learn, listen, and openly welcome change. I believe that with the many changes that we have already made and implemented Route 1 is certainly on the right path to deliver greater success and it will allow us to adapt to the changes that inevitably will continue to happen within our industry and will in turn differentiate us from our competitors”.
